Moving from Unix to Linux is saving money the organizations. ANTs allows these savings to be extended to the data bases

Moving the ANTs Data Server (ADS) from Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Sybase, Informix or MySQL produce significant savings.

The data bases from the traditional data base providers (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Sybase o Informix), are very complete in terms of functionality but expensive and complex to install, maintain and operate. Their licensing system and hardware requirements in order to obtain an acceptable performance make them very expensive.

The open code data bases have a very low or null installation cost, but they do not posses certain important functionalities, their migration from the traditional data bases is not easy and they do not support critical mission applications.

ANTs Data Server produces an important quantitative change in terms of price / performance due to the following facts:

  • Provides universal compatibility and easy migration from the tradicional data bases, without application reprogramming and retraining staff.
  • It is a corporate transactional data base that significantly reduces the hardware requirements.
  • Easily supports critical misión applications.

The result of all this is a reduction in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) between 50% and 60%.

Softron has been designated exclusive ANTs distributor in Argentina, Chile, Peru and Uruguay.
